On June 19, 2026, Sadie Wood was crowned Miss Rodeo Texas Princess during the Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant in Amarillo, Texas. Along with earning the coveted title, she captured the prestigious awards for Horsemanship, Written Test, and Speech, showcasing her exceptional riding ability, rodeo knowledge, and communication skills.
Raised on her family’s cattle ranch near Alpine, Texas, Sadie has been horseback since she was five years old and has spent countless hours helping work cattle while embracing the western way of life. She competes in breakaway roping, goat tying, barrel racing, and pole bending through the Texas Junior High Rodeo Association and local rodeos, while also enjoying riding the beautiful Big Bend country with her family.
An accomplished competitor, Sadie is a former Miss Rodeo Texas Princess 2025 Horsemanship Champion, recipient of the Speech, Appearance, Personality, Photogenic, and Congeniality awards, and has earned numerous championships and top placings in rodeo, queen contests, livestock shows, and horse judging throughout Texas.
Outside the arena, Sadie is an outstanding student, maintaining an All A Honor Roll throughout elementary and middle school. She is an active member of Twin Peaks 4-H, where she has served as Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, volunteers with the Alpine Animal Services shelter, and participates in community service projects benefiting families in her hometown.
As 2026 Miss Rodeo Texas Princess, Sadie is passionate about promoting agriculture, rodeo, and the western lifestyle while encouraging young people to become involved in agriculture and preserve Texas’ rich western heritage. Through her travels across the state, she hopes to inspire others by sharing the values of integrity, kindness, responsibility, and hard work that ranching and rodeo have instilled in her.
